I’m sorry to inform you that the central piece is out of control. Due to high fertility rate and exploding emigration, the city is growing by leaps and bounds. Tentacular suburbs have sprawled in all directions. East and West over both adjacent walls. North into the ceiling and soon to appear on the second floor. Last but not least, South into the floor and eventually, the basement. I will be at the gallery everyday this week on top of the wobbly ladder, stamping like a mad man. If you know what time is your visit on Friday please tell me, I will try to be there. The 1st floor back wall map installation is an ephemeral art piece, a city that will grow during the length of the show. Day after day I will dip three stamps in red ink, a square, a triangle and a rectangle and apply them on the wall. These urban tentacles will spread to the adjacent walls and eventually through the ceiling onto the second floor walls.
